Review content:
No prices are jacked up like in so many small stores. If something is expensive, it is because it is a high end item to begin with. There is something for everyone, and they know the needs of the neighborhood. The vegetables are fresh and the meat is great. Gluten free folks will find a number of items. There are some organic choices too, and cool gourmet items. But it is not limited to the Williams & Sonoma types. Folks can get their regular stuff too like Hubig's pies, beer, and cigarettes. Everybody loves the hog's head cheese, and thei sausage is homemade--one type with no MSG.
But the friendliness of the family is why I go there. I actually feel as though I am a part of something bigger than myself; the family pictures are on the wall and the ancestors have much to be proud of in this generation of Teranovas. They joke and acknowledge customers as they enter. They know us there, and one day when I needed it, I got a hug that I will never forget.
