Review content:
Okay, so I was a little fed up with the heating industry until I spoke with Kevin at Fred's Heating and Cooling. Up until I had spoken with Kevin I was being told that it was going to cost $80 for a technician to ""step foot in my house."" That's right, they're still using this antiquated phrase and I had no idea why I had to pay someone to just take a look at what the problem was. So $80 to look and I was hearing that it would probably cost another $80 to run a diagnostic test and perhaps another $80 if I wanted a furnace ""tune up."" Hold on, hold on!! The problem was that my 2nd floor wasn't heating to the same temp as the 1st floor and I needed to know why. If it happened to be the furnace then I understand I would have to pay for that. If it happened to be that all my duct work wasn't installed correctly, I would have to pay for that too. But I didn't understand why I had to pay someone to tell me what I had to pay for. So I called Kevin, we set up a time, and when he came out he was professional and spent an hour telling me what I could do to ensure furnace efficiency and to help stop any leaks throughout the ducts--FOR FREE!!! He is now my heating guy forever and I believe that all people should find people and companies who aren't going to ask them for money ""just to walk in the home."" Hey, Heating Industry! The economy is rough. It's time to stop doing business this way. Kevin is out there and he's going to grab all of your customers. I sure hope he does. He saved me money and when it comes time to actually need to do something Kevin and Fred's Heating will be the ones I call.
