My fiancee & I had the misfortune of staying at this dilapidated place and will NEVER STAY AGAIN !!! The slumlord John Elliott MD is nothing if not a shady individual. He only accepts CASH and refuses to provide any financial documentation of your stay. He was recently investigated by the IRS for doing this exact same thing i.e. not reporting taxes.
The unit that we stayed literally had furniture fall apart as it was made of particle board !!! The sq footage was a little over 200 sq feet and the only TV provided was a 12 inch color with basic cable attached to a space saver on the wall. We stayed in what John Elliott MD of Redington Shores boasted to be his best unit so I would hate to see his worst !!
He will collect a $200 security deposit from any persons staying with the promise of returning it however after checkout he will find any excuse NOT TO REFUND IT BACK so if you have the misfortune of staying at Beachside Apartments dont plan on getting any of the ""security deposit"" back as it is nothing more then a scam John Elliott utilizes to rob his customers.
He is nothing but a rude man who bangs on the door and even climbs up ladders to wake people up for checkout (7:30 AM) or makes you pay cash to extend your stay !! All this even after he collects a $200 security deposit !!!
There are HUNDREDS of places in Redington Shores that are run by honest landlords however Beachside Apartments owned by John Elliott MD certainly is not one of those places.
DO NOT STAY HERE !!!!
