Review content:
I don’t give negative reviews lightly and I would never say anything bad about a local business if it wasn’t true. I bought several hundred dollars of tile from New Vision Flooring Inc. last year. The contractor they recommended, a husband and wife team, seemed very knowledgeable but failed to show up two out of four times. The second time I sat around waiting during a weekend which ruined my plans to go to the beach. Then I found out they stood me up because he went fishing.\r
One of the two times they did show up they took measurements which turned out to be incorrect and stuck me with about $200 of bull nose tile I didn’t need. The worst part is that the owner of New Vision Flooring refused to take the extra tile back even though his contractor made the mistake. To add insult to injury he took the side of the contractor that stood us up twice saying he had been dealing with them for 20 years. The owner of New Vision Flooring then told us that instead of taking the tile back we should not pay the contractor for the small amount of work they did do. In other words he threw his contractor and his customer under the buss for a lousy couple hundred bucks. \r
The contractor did redo the base of my shower and billed me for $100. I think he did a good job. If he is reading this, I will gladly pay you with the tile in my garage you stuck me with and by the way it was your friend the owner New Vision Flooring that told me not to pay you.\r
The tile was great and we love it. They have very similar tile at Lows and Home Depot that we would have loved just as much but they would have been much more ethical in their business practice.\r
We ended up renovating our kitchen two bathrooms and a family room for about $25,000 and the place looks like a new home. We found a tile contractor that is an artist and has great work ethic that finished the job. We also used another local company Metro Flooring Services and the customer service was head and shoulders above New Vision Flooring. Metro Flooring Services stands behind their work and they give a life time warranty. Many people have complemented us on our renovation and asked us who they should use. We tell them the truth which has cost New Vision Flooring a lot of business. I just think people should be aware of what they can expect from business owners. \r
