I got an appointment right away at my convenience. \r

The sales woman was nice & upbeat. She was a good listener & quickly understood what I wanted to do. I had two ideas in mind for the living room and she helped me make the right choice. I was considering layering shades over shutters but doing both was over budget. Her advice was to order the shades first and get the shutters later if it wasn't enough. No high pressure sales at all. \r

I liked her approach when it came to choosing fabric too. She was honest about which of my choices she liked and which ones she didn't. I appreciated a second opinion from an expert. She explained to me why certain of my fabric choices would be wrong for the rooms. She was helpful in providing ideas where i didn't have any. She introduced me to products I didn't even know existed.\r

The day before she came for the home appt she called me and asked me some questions about the colors or fabric types or window treatments i might have in mind. She came well prepared with so many beautiful fabrics it was tough to make a decision. One fabric that i liked for the living room was a little ""out there"" so before ordering the fabric she ordered a large square sample to put in the room look at for awhile. That made me less apprehensive about how the shades would look when done. They turned out beautifully.\r

I also ordered shutters for the bedroom. The sales woman showed me samples from a few different companies and explained to me the differences between them whether it was the wood used or the color choices or the cost. LaVoies later sent a shutter installer to measure my windows for the shutters and he immediately identified an issue that we would have with our window moldings. He explained how the shutters would be installed because of that. He had a solution and explained it to us. And later he installed them quickly and they are absolutely gorgeous.\r

I'm sold on LaVoie's and will definitely use them again in the future.
