Review content:
Z'Tejas was my favorite restaurant when we lived in Austin, TX for a few years. We went today for lunch. The ambiance was good and our waiter was very attentive. I had the ahi tuna entree. The blackened part tasted just like charred wood might. It certainly didn't taste like food. The tuna was very cold..still almost frozen and it was flavorless. The sauce was good. The veggies were overcooked and the rice tasted like something you'd get in a cheap chinese tv dinner. My husband's pork enchiladas were bland and cold. We thought we'd save the day with the ancho fudge pie we loved in Austin. It's served all hot and gooeyn, not here. It was a slice right out of the fridge. Although it was tasty, it wasn't the heaven we knew in Austin. Z'Tejas Austin would be embarrassed about their Seattle counterpart. Pros: good service, nice atmosphere Cons: bland food, not Austin
