Not the bulk buffet style toned-down Americana Indian where they herd folks through rows of steam tables. The food is delicately prepared, and the service quite good. It's a tad more expensive and the portions a bit smaller and the menu all a la carte. You won't find slammer-plate thalis here for dinner. The digs are fairly new and the environment appealing. Good to take a date, and while the Punjabi MTV-like videos are cheesy, they can be entertaining when your partner isn't. The bad reviews by some and the higher prices and smaller portions reduce the crowds at this place. Generous and comfortable seating. Decent washrooms. Fairly available parking out back at Rivermark Plaza in Santa Clara. 2005-Dec-01
