Businiess name:  Honorable Janet Littlejohn

Review content:
I was completely disappointed in Judge Janet Littlejohn. My son wanted to live with his father; his father travels approximately 20 days per month and has no rules. (Wouldn’t any teen want that? But what a child wants, is not necessarily what is best for a him!) Judge Littlejohn refused to listen to either side, requested attorneys into her chamber, and gave her verdict. My attorney warned me saying, if you try and fight her, she will make it worse. He knew this because he had experienced her courtroom many times with other clients. Hesitantly and at my attorney’s urging, I accepted her verdict. She sent my son to live with his father in another state! That was two years ago. Since then, my son is failing school (yes, several Fs), has attendance issues and will be in an alternative school for his Senior year (hopefully he will graduate because he is behind). And, just this last week, my son was arrested for possession and intent to sell (federal court issue). This is a very serious situation. He will be 18 years old soon and the DA may try him as an adult (which could mean several years in prison). I believe this all could have been prevented if my son would’ve been in a better environment with more guidance. Instead he was left alone much of the time without adult guidance and supervision. My son then started making bad decisions and the primary adult was not there to guide him back to a healthy course. If Judge Littlejohn had taken the time to listen to my concerns for my child, she would have known that this father (1) travels frequently and (2) has an abusive/neglectful history (He has been arrested for violence. And, I have had to obtain a restraining order on him.), etc. I am disgusted by her lack of care for my child and other children of Bexar County. What is really disgusting is that immediately following our hearing, she walked through the hall right past me (crying); she was laughing and carrying on with her assistant and saying how she was glad they were able to get to their lunch. She has NO BUSINESS WHATSOEVER being on the bench. And, I know I am not the only one that has had this experience. I have researched opinions of her; others have encountered this same situation. She is unwilling to listen. What do we pay our judges for? To listen! So, JUDGE LITTLEJOHN: I am calling for your retirement! You have greatly contributed to the demise of my child because you refused to listen and made a snap judgment. I will never forget the part you played in my son’s downfall. Cons: Judge Littlejohn refuses to listen to crucial facts
