Review content:
Best in the Berkshires?! Not even best of Railroad Street. Had dinner there 10/03 and was really disappointed. Indifferent service. Bread with oil was unimaginative and tasteless. My ""Heirloom"" Caprese salad came with cherry tomatoes and hardly any balsamic vinegar. Bucatini alla bolognese was leaden and lacked flavor and plate appeal. When asked which of the 20 or so grappas on the menu tended to be the mildest, the server said that they were all pretty much the same! A real pet peeve of mine is a server with no opinion/knowledge of the menu and was I surprised to find this at so well reviewed a restaurant. Spend your restaurant dollar elsewhere in GB. There are many very good places to choose from.
Pros: Ambiance, location.
Cons: Food, service, price.
