This place is a joke & a scam. I don't know why so many others here rave so much about the architecture--This place looks just like any ordinary Irish/British dump you'd find in Boston, NY or Philly. At least the dumps in Boston leave you drunk and full. The happy hour drinks were limited to draft beer & 'well' drinks, which for some reason didn't include martinis... just one shot of one type of booze w/ one mixer only. (other places count fake martinis as well drinks) OK fine. Fiance forewent his preferred Newcastle for something cheap, and I got a couple Cape Codders. Again, it was a one-shot-only of booze drink. Not much to tell. The service was slow and bad, but that should be expected from a dumpy bar--No qualms there. The FOOD is the much bigger problem. Fiance was starved and so ordered a cheeseburger- not on the happy hour menu. He said it was fine, but the price ($12 or $15 bucks??) was a little much for such a dirty dump. I wanted to keep it cheap, so I got the 'chicken fingers' from the HH menu. I quote 'chicken fingers' because it was not chicken fingers. This will be hard to believe, but --I swear-- it was ONE CHICKEN FINGER sliced in 4 pieces the size of a french fry. I couldn't believe it! $6 for A SINGLE chicken finger??? Scam Scam Scam. Never again will I be taken by P&W--Paying out $60 to leave still hungry and with no buzz is just not cool. A regular side of chicken fingers (more than one finger) and a cosmo at regular price from another establishment would have been cheaper, and more fulfilling.
