Review content:
I originally thought that Bride n Belle was a lovely shop when I ordered my gown, my mother's gown, and my four bridesmaid gowns. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and despite the technicolor prom gowns out front, there was a pretty good selection of gowns.\r I was wrong. The owner, Theresa, is a master in manipulation. In January, my mother ordered her $800 gown there, and specifically asked that they order her a new one, and it not be often-tried-on sample. They called us in June to say that my gown and my mother's gown were in. They gave us the sample gown as my mother's gown. (we have photos to prove it, and the sample gown ""disappeared"" the day after we ordered.) My veils took over two months, and were also initially the samples that we tried on. My gown was almost ruined by their primary seamstress (NOT Juliette, who was amazing and saved it days before the wedding) who went directly against my requests and put cheap fabric buttons on the bustle, and bustled it terribly -none of the detail showed. She also took in the gown badly, and left makeup stains on it.\r Two weeks before my wedding, I was running around Boston, looking for a replacement gown. At the end of the day, it was a freelance seamstress who undid the terrible work, and made it wearable, but at that point and so much stress and drama, it wasn't the gown I loved anymore, and the whole experience made me nauseous, especially when they called me picky and high maintenance (it's not a big store) just because I wanted my gown the way I was told it could be altered.\r \r They ruined the dream of my wedding gown, and Theresa the owner is rude and a liar. I also heard two other brides tell her that their bustles broke before their first dance, so their quality is also poor. I also saw them cutting up a Bill Levkoff sample gown to use for fabric for another bridesmaid order (who probably paid $30/yard for an extra fabric order, when Bride n Belle was getting for free.) AVOID THIS SHOP!\r \r \r Pros: nice selection, though the sample gowns are in poor condition Cons: Lying owner, bait & switch, sneaky
