Review content:
This review would have probably gotten a 3 star review from me because three stars is average-ish and that's what this place is, average-ish. I dropped it to two stars because of two separate incidents that occurred with front desk personnel that significantly lowered my opinion. The gym in itself is just as stated above, average. The cost is tolerable, the hours are nice, but the gym doesn't offer many classes, and has few amenities. ANYWAY, that being said, two incidents have changed my opinion of this place, and forced me to search for another place to tone my fantastic ass. When I initially signed up, the sales guy (Quinn) told me that my monthly rates would be $25 due to my student status and that there were no other fees besides the monthly rate. Low and behold the very first month I had a 39.99 charge on my credit card ( the difference of which took 16 days to get placed back into my account). The monthly rate was fixed, however 2 months later I was hit with another 25 dollar charge which was never mentioned to me initially, but later explained to me as a fee that locks in my rate....right. Besides the rough billing start, and limited options, things were fine and the I always thought the staff was quite pleasant. Of course that changed with one fell swoop. On my way out one night, I had to tell the girl behind the front desk (Heather) my key number 3 times because she seemingly ignored me or didn't hear me because she was talking on her cell phone. I understand the necessity of the phone, Im a woman, I get it. But the whole matter seemed unprofessional and to top it off as I said good night, I got no farewell in return. Impolite if you ask me, but maybe I was just raised differently. So I said seeya City Fitness, and am currently quite happy at Sweat.....(hint. hint. review coming?)
