I have lived in both New York and Chicago and have heard rave reviews about the pizza from those cities.
Personally, nothing compares to Buddy's (and Shield's) pizza in Detroit. I don't know what the problem is with Detroit - it just doesn't seem to know how to get the word out about its finer features.
The pizza is so good that a woman in Knoxville, TN - when hearing that I had lived in Detroit, exclaimed (without prompting) ""Ohhhh - my boyfriend is from there and I visited - BUDDY'S PIZZA!"" (We weren't even discussing restaurants.)
It's just that good!
Pros: Flavor, Value, Great salad too
