APTS is a large facility with several ranges. Cost is $12 for the day. You’re out in the dirt here, so don’t expect a whole lot. There’s an old trailer that serves as the cashier/store and a couple of port-a-potties. There are a couple of handgun ranges, a nice shotgun range and a rifle range. You can get paper targets and set them at 50 and 100 yards. There are also stationary targets at longer distances. Only the rife range is manned with personnel (aside from rovers) and they are very strict about rules at that range. Among the things I like about APTS is that you see a wider variety of folks here than at the other local shooting place (I like and recommend both places but they have a different feel about them). On the downside, if you can count it as such, you’re pretty much on your own here. So if you’re a beginner and aren’t with someone experienced, this is probably not the best place for you to start.
Pros: Inexpensive, Multiple Ranges
Cons: Few amenities, port-a-potties
