I work at a local hotel that sees a lot of business clientele during the week, and families on the weekend. Whenever someone asks me to recommend a place to eat I send them here. Here's what I've been told by my guests: Maxine--when she had a hard time finding the place she parked at Troutdale City Hall and called for directions. Saul personally walked down the street to meet her! She was so surprised and thrilled by the personal treatment, and she raved about the food. Also, I've been, gently, pestering one of our regulars to try them. As a former caterer who lives in the PNW, they know salmon. I like to joke that we're both salmon snobs-- we know how it's supposed to taste and we will point out when the chef bombs it. Well, they finally got the chance to try the grilled salmon (my favorite), and were so impressed that they gave me a such a thorough review I wish they'd post it here themselves! A crispy glaze on the salmon, full salmon flavor without being 'fishy', light lemon dill sauce, yummy mixed veggies that weren't overcooked.... ps- the soups are incredible. The minestrone has tortellinis in it, and the creme of mushroom is to die for (no Campbell's here thank you!). Try the stuffed mushroom or basil artichoke appetizers, too. If you have trouble finding them, look for Siam Sushi next door! Food is exceptional and prices are incredibly affordable. Pros: incredible food, friendly service Cons: none!
