Wants to appear Neighborhood chef-run restaurant, aspires to be priced and delivered like a first class dinner house. Failed at both.\r
Started with a Mingo Salad. Asked for the Romaine to be chopped. ""They won't do that"". Have you ever been told that ? Even in Manhattan they will acommodate that request. C'mon folks. And for $9.00. That's not on the neighborhood price scale.\r
Entre'- a simple pasta which was the first dish I have asked for a do-over on in thirty years. I'll eat darn near anything. Must have had a tablespoon of salt. ""Maybe they accidentally salted twice"" the server offered. Second effort was fine. Simple pasta was $19.00. Again, not a neighborhood price scale.\r
Server waa knowledgeable and helpful, but no followup by chef or manager for a pretty obvious mistake.\r
\r
Sad and disappointing. Many meals at the N.W. namesake, and always well done. This cousin or whatever it is needs to realize that just because Beaverton is so dominated by chains of mediocre food, folks still want, value, seek and will pay for well done efforts. Hope for better!
Pros: One of few creative meals in Beaverton
Cons: Priced like the Pearl, but lacking control and care
