We have lived in Carmel most of our lives. We have always been faithful supporters of Hardee's in Carmel. Not any more after our experience on 11/20/09! Over the last year or so, the management of this location has let the place slide into a dangerous situation. They have hired employees that can't communicate even on the most basic levels with the general public to handle transactions. Over the drive-through intercom, in the window, and at the counter. If you call to talk with a member of management, they will ask something like ""Who speak?"" and then breathe into the phone until you are forced to hang up. My wife bought a Southwest Chicken Salad last night, that we waited over a half hour to be prepared. She complained that it was horrible after eating just a few bites. I could not imagine it being that bad, and I decided to try a bite or two myself to see. We were both up all night ""SPEWING"" from both ends as a result of eating from this 116th street Hardee's location. Sorry for being so graphic...but it was beyond horrible. The best way I can describe it, was it felt like I had a rabid wolverine in my stomach with a fully automatic vomit machine gun in one claw, and a diarrhea bazooka in the other...with unlimited ammo!!! I asked my wife to describe how she felt, but after nine hours on being barricaded in the bathroom..she is no longer speaking to me. If you want to have an frenzied evening of insanely intense gastrointestinal distress. Hand over an outrageous amount of money for a fast food meal. And interact with people masquerading as ""managers"" that can't even pretend to make an attempt at simulating the simplest word combinations in the English language. Then this Hardee's is the place for you!!!
Be afraid...be very afraid.
If you read this, and try this location anyway...and have a great experience, that's fantastic! Good for you! Every once and a while people, get lucky! If you however, fall upon the same abysmal set of circumstances my family experienced...the District Managers name is ""Richard"" and his Cell Number is 765-744-2231. I called. Still nothing.
Pros: I lost several pounds overnight!
Cons: I'm scarred for life now...
