In Corpus Chisti it would only be 3 stars. Since Water Street closed, I think this place is now the best in SA, but honestly it's only good, not great. I grew up going to the Black Diamond in Corpus Christi and Kings Inn just south of Kingsville and both places would blow this away. I had the Jumbo Fried Shrimp and they were very good, but not on par with Black Diamond or Kings Inn. If you like fried shrimp DEFINITELY buy the jumbo, not the regular friend shrimp. Hugely better. Family had assorted seafood plates and all were competently prepared, good but not quite great. Prices are pretty fair. I'd go here 100 times before I go back to Joe's Crab shack.
