Review content:
It is possible to receive a superb haircut, without getting one that suits the individual. Phillip has a way of noting the shape of head and profile, the style of a person, the straightness or curl, thickness or thinness of hair and then creating a style that suits. He is an artist, sculpting with scissors and he has a rare eye for applying color.
I have the pride of being Phillip's first customer when he returned to Baltimore from California fifteen years ago.
I followed him wherever he worked until he made his own place. I moved away from Baltimore a long time ago, but I drive the distance to work with Phillip. The last six years, from Virginia.
I foolishly tried to find someone local, but I never received the same caliber of cut that Phillip provides. It is best to just let him ""do his thing."" Don't backseat drive Shawn Petty.
While I haven't used anyone else in his studio, I enjoy watching others get cut and styled and walk out the door happy and looking marvelous.
If you can afford it - go. If you cannot afford it - save your money and go. You get what you pay for. I promise you will leave looking good and feeling good about how you look.
