I know the executive director for Open Adoption. Both of her children were adopted through the agency and they had a wonderful experience with open adoption. If you are seriously thinking about adopting, you should look into open adoptions to see what your options are. It is an interesting path. As their website says, Open Adoption is a private, non-profit adoption agency with a progressive approach to building healthy families. Their agency focuses on facilitating child-centered open adoptions in which birthparents and adoptive families create healthy long-term relationships that address the ongoing needs of children. Their website is http://www.openadopt.org/index.html
