Review content:
After much encouragement from my wife, we decided to give the Athenian a second chance after a bad showing on our first visit. Again, after going there on Sunday for a relaxing dinner by the water, we were let down again!! My wife ordered a glass of wine and it came in a whiskey glass that was chipped around the rim, that was the start of it. Our dinner came and I had the mousaka and she had the salmon. The mousaka tasted as if it had been scorched on the bottom and been sitting on the stove for several hours. The vegetables were so over cooked there was no taste to it. The salmon wasn't bad, again, with the vegetables so overcooked, that was the only thing that could be eaten. Our plates were almost as full when they took them away as when they put them in front of us. The waitress simply said she was sorry we didn't enjoy the meal. It was a total waste of $60 that could have been spent elsewhere. I'm afraid once bitten, twice shy and there will be no 3rd time lucky for the Athenian Grill from us!! Pros: Great Setting by the Water Cons: Food/Service
