Review content:
The Athenian Grill has been in Suisun forever and their regular customers must be very ignorantly loyal, lazy, or family. (all of whom do not seem to care about traditional Greek food) The only thing this place has going for it is the water. You can literally take off from Seattle, WA, sail right up to the dock in front of this restaurant, tie off your vessel, and eat. Yes the atmosphere is nice. But, my friend, if you're looking for traditional Greek cuisine, you will experience great disappointment. My younger brother and I were in the mood for some Greek food last week so we decided to check out this place hearing mixed reviews. I should have spent the 45 minutes driving to the Greek Village Inn than the 45 minutes I spent here choking down their version of Greek food. Upon receiving the menu I thought I was missing half of it. They didn't have Paputsakia, a good piece of lamb, or any of the other things I grew up eating. But they had plenty of room for chili fries, cheese sticks, and five different types of burgers. Check out the menu for yourself w w w. atheniangrill. net/menu.htm The essence, all in all, did not exist. I miss their old neighbor Vasili's Greek Taverna. That place was quite a gem. I wonder where they went.
Pros: The part of the city in which this place exists
Cons: food, food selection, staff knowledge
