I love Mexican food, but I've gotten a bit bored with taquerias. I kinda expect them to be a great place to get a cheap eat, but nothing too adventurous. I heard some great things about this place and decided to stop in while in Monterey.
Holy words I can't print on Citysearch! This place is something else! It's nothing like the usual taqueria fare I've come to expect. First of all, they have awesome seafood dishes. Their garlic fish dish was fantastic. I also had one of their steak tacos which was packed with tender marinated steak strips sliced medium thin like in a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. This place really did not seem like any other taqueria that I've ever been in.
My only disappointment was that the Mexican rice was a little bland, but with tacos and main dishes this good, they get a pass for doing their rice a bit differently than my tastes prefer.
Pros: Incredible Seafood Dishes, Awesome Tacos
