I've been introduced to Shabu shabu dinning by a friend at a dinner party and enjoyed it. Well, my mom wanted to go out for dinner last night with me and I was in the mood for something different. She had never had it before and it was right down the street from her house. We its friday night and we get there about 7:40. The place is dead, only two other dinners there. The decor is AMAZING. If you want a table you need to bring at least 4 people with you, otherwise you have to eat at the bar. Its asain style, A LOT of seats, fairly close together. Other reviews said service was poor, they must have gone when it was busy. Our service was exceptional, music was a light modern lounge style, a perfect fit really. The food was Fantasic! We ordered chicken and prime rib Shitkabyu?? Basically its Shabu shabu with a more flavorful broth. Highly recommend trying this place. The food is good and its totally different from anything else!
Pros: Very different, converstation starters
Cons: if they get busy they may be understaffed
