Review content:
I tried several chiropractors after a few car accidents and none had given me results that were long-term. I would feel better only for a day or two - I was depressed due to chronic pain, was taking allergy prescriptions year round (which weren't helping very much), anti-depressants, and 8-10 pain pills a day just to make it through the day. In the past I had been told by an MD that I needed surgery to fix a herniated disk, which I refused at only 22 years old - and that was helped by chiropractic - but since I was no longer improving I wanted to try someone new. Since going to Dr. Jason Gerard I have had a life changing experience. My allergies ceased after about 3 months, and I no longer take allergy, pain, or antidepressant medication, my pain is gone - I have returned to horseback riding which I never thought I would be able to do again - and my posture has improved. I used to have a vasovagal syncope (unexpected fainting episodes) which I have not had for about 6 years now with Dr. Gerard's care. I can now look behind me before I merge lanes in my car instead of relying on my mirrors. I got a new pillow from him (and a select comfort not from him) which has helped me sleep much more soundly - I used to have insomnia but now sleep like I did as a kid (trains coming through the yard wouldn't wake me)! My knees have always been a problem, probably due to horses, but I found out that getting regular adjustments of my BACK has helped my knees, ankles, and hips ache less. I am not that old (32 this year) but having been diagnosed with ""loose joints"" by a MD (my mother has as well) I thought my life would just continue to get more painful, but now I am pain free. Dr Gerard impressed me right away by pinpointing symptoms I did not realize were being caused by misalignment (i.e. allergies). My friend went to him and her son's ADD almost disappeared, and her chronic pain is gone. That's how the Gonstead method and Dr Gerard changed my life. Pros: qiuck adjustments- I can go on lunch hour Cons: sometimes long wait in waiting room
