Review content:
While recently looking for Dr. Wasserman's phone number online, I came across this set of reviews and was surprised to see so many bad ones. I saw this doctor a few times several years ago and while his personality is a bit odd, I thought he was very thorough and was satisfied with his care.\r

So based on my prior good experiences I called to make an appt. His nurse (who one of the previous reviewers says is the doctor's wife) called me back. In a very accusatory tone, she told me that according to my chart I had not been there since 2005. Not quite sure what response I was expected to give, I simply agreed with her. She then nastily asked me ""Well what have you been doing between then and now?"" I told her I didn't understand what she meant. She said I had an appt. in 2006, but canceled it and never rescheduled. She also told me that the doctor had sent me a letter after the cancellation and then proceeded to read the entire letter to me. In short, because I have a light complexion and freckles, he was recommending that I see him once a year for a screening. I asked what this letter from 4 yrs. ago had to do with the appt. I wanted to make now. She went on and on about my not keeping that appt. to the point that I told her she was harrassing me and that if she didn't want to give me an appt., that's fine, there are plenty of other dermatologists in the city. She said the doctor is taking part in a skin cancer screening program and wouldn't be able to see me until December. I said, ok, thank you and hung up on her. Now, why she felt it necessary to give me such a hard time when she knew that from the beginning, I don't know. Or perhaps it was her decision that he not see me. Very strange behavior for a ""professional"".\r

When I got home from work, there was a message from Dr. Wasserman saying that he had been given a message to call me. I did not request that he call me nor do I have any intentions of calling him back. Based on the other reviewer's experiences, that call more than likely would not go well either. I have already found another doctor.
