Review content:
I love this place. Just went for the first time a couple of months ago and have been back multiple times since. There seem to be quite a few types of pastry in their cases that I haven't seen in other bakeries, and I love to try new things. Love the frangipane - which I think was butter crust on the bottom, layer of raspberry, layer of almond cake, and pear and peaches on top. Not sure exactly - but it was great and I am sad it took me this long to discover. Also amazing - the clichy, which was some sort of chocolate coffee 7 layer pastry. It's a cute little shop, with seating if you want to have a cup of coffee and a pastry. Staff have always been friendly and helpful. They also have beautiful cakes, which I haven't tried yet but definitely will next time I throw a party. Pastry prices are very reasonable - between 2 and 5 bucks each, with the more expensive ones being large (in my opinion) and good for sharing with a friend or two. Not sure about the cake prices. This is my new favorite bakery in Philly.
