If you dont mind going to the wrong side of town for the BEST down home southern cooking in the world, go visit Duchess. The food is great, the people friendly and the value is unbelievable. Always large helpings of home cooked meats and vegetables. The cornbread is great and we highly recommend the mac and cheese, the yams and the fried pork chops. The place itself is no great gem, but dont drive past, its definitely worth a stop. AND THEY WILL PACK IT UP TO GO!
