Don't use these guys. I'm an easy-going person, and I have never written a grievance about anything or anyone, but I have rarely encountered such blatantly poor management and dishonesty in a service company. They made an after hours service call for me when I came home to a broken A/C this last Friday night. The technician arrived and said it had frozen up. He said to let it thaw, and said I needed maintenance to clean the coils, and said the $97.50 for the service call would be credited to me if I used them for the maintenance. And there was also a $45 after hours fee. Fine, that all seemed to make sense. We scheduled for Monday at 10 a.m. He left, after only turning the fan on. I had to return to my new home in west Texas, so on Monday I had a friend of mine drive from Zapata County to let the A/C tech in. No one showed. At 10:30 I called GC to find out when the technician would be arriving. The office manager said that it had been rescheduled for Wednesday afternoon and I had been notified. I never received any such call, or I wouldn't have had my friend drive all that way for nothing. I even went back through my phone records to see if I had missed something. Nope...there had been no notification of the appointment change. I was more than a little annoyed at this lack of courtesy, and told them that if I hadn't already put the $97.50 toward the maintenance, I would be going with a different company. So then they came Wednesday morning (not afternoon as planned), and my friend just happened to be there to meet a contractor, or the A/C technician would have arrived at a vacant house. Again, POOR communication and poor planning. When I received the bill, the $97.50 from Friday night had not been credited. When I spoke with the (different) office manager about it, she said that they don't do that for after hours calls, only for customers who initiate during normal work hours. I tried to tell her that her technician had told me otherwise, and, after the fiasco on Monday, there was no way I would have stuck with them if I hadn't already invested what amounted to a down payment. She refused to credit the $97.50 as I had been promised by the technician. When I asked to speak with the office manager from Monday, she refused my request and kept repeating that I wouldn't get credit for the money I had given on Friday. She finally agreed to crediting the after hours fee of $45, but kept the taxes I paid on it. Anyway, I don't know if this is a scam that they run or what, but all I know is they are dishonest and have very poor customer service, and I would recommend to everyone to stay away.
