I had an estimator over to give me a price on replastering a pool. When I asked about payment he told me that TWO THIRDS of the money was due on the FIRST DAY of construction, no exceptions, and furthermore, that all of the money was due on the fifth or last day of construction with no grace period such as 30 days same as cash. He arrogantly asked why should he wait for his money? And I said why should I pay two thirds in advance for his work on the first day? He said he had been burned too often. I explained my credit rating could be easily checked. I wondered then if he had been ""burned"", why was that so? Was it his quality of workmanship? Other problems that he could not stand behind his work for 30 days after completion?
