I've been wearing New Balance shoes for over 10 years. New Balance North Shore seems to almost always have my size and width in stock, and the one time they did not, they special ordered a pair for me (with no obligation to buy them) and had them available for me to try on 3 days later. I've never felt the typical pressure one might expect from sales people and they always offer to measure my feet, which is nice since I heard feet change over time. One of the best aspects of the store is the location. Being in Highland Park (30 min north of Chicago), parking is always easy to find and the store is big enough for the whole family to shop, unlike the other New Balance store close to me in Lincoln Park. Pros: Plenty of parking, no pressure, friendly and helpful sales people Cons: Their best shoes can be on the expensive side.
