Girls Level 2 Gymnastics
Pros: 1st impression of Artemov gymnastics was good. Free trial, spacious new facility & instructor for the class we choose was friendly & knowledgeable. Cons: Artemov doesn't shy away from increasing class size to full capacity. Only twice did I witness 2 coaches instructing a large class. My child was enrolled for 7 months & had 4 coaches. Each time a new coach started my child started from square one all over again. This was a big hindrance. My child spent the majority of her class time on the trampoline & mats with little time on gym equipment (bars, beam, etc). There were many times where my child didn't get on the official gym equipment at all (other than a little bit of trampoline time). Artemov also requires a contract which locks you in to give a 30 day notice if you decide to drop- regardless of reason. They DO NOT pro-rate past the 1st of month either if you do drop. I put in my child's notice Feb.15. I will be billed for the remaining month of Feb. and for entire month of March. They will not budge despite reasoning and/or disappointments with the structure of class etc. When asked what Artemov's contract to the customer was - I was told that they are simply to provide a certified instructor in a safe environment. I thought this was to be expected from any gymnastics facility. I know now why Artemov requires this kind of contract. Very disappointing overall experience verses my 1st impression.
