Review content:
Savitt Tire and Auto is excellent. My wife and have been a customer with Savitt about 10 or 15 years at least, maybe a tad longer. Our other company we used to take our car to before sold the business, and the spot became a pizza place. After 17 years at that place, we needed to find another. A guy I used to work with referred me to Savitt. They weren't in business when we moved to the area 30 years ago, but we've been with them ever since we started using them. I used to work for Carmax, so I know a fair amount about automobiles and auto mechanics. I asked the owner, Cary, some questions, and he answered them to my satisfaction, so I told my wife that we'd try them out. They have been excellent. Savitt has dependable, honest, and reliable service. If you drop off the car the night before, they usually have it done the next day. They will call you when it's ready, and will leave a message if you're not home. I'm not gonna say their prices are reasonable: no auto shop is reasonable these days where people charge $100 an hour for service. I will say that they are competitive though, and in some cases they are lower than the other guys around. They have a competitive price structure. The mechanics at Savitt are good. They will talk to you. If you have a problem, Cary or John will call up the mechanic and they will stop what they're doing and explain the problem to you. That's very comforting to me. They also have a good computer system. They can look up anything that I've had done, like the last time I had my brakes done and when I need new ones. Also, they don't push you. Savitt provides honest recommendations of potential problems that would need attention now or in the future. They tell you if it's something you could do immediately or if you can wait on it until later.
