Review content:
Its like this, Cypress Pools does a very nice job with installation. They were there when they said they'd be, they have a skilled crew and the work was professional. Here's the hitch though. Forget about service after the job is done or if there are any things that needed to be fully wrapped up at the very end of your project.
I'm telling you, these guys are the worst when it comes to following through! The trenches that were dug to lay gas to the pool heater sunk after they initially filled them. My wife almost broke her leg when she fell into one of them just casually walking in the yard. Ok, it's dangerous, yes, but things like this happen. No big deal, just bring over some more fill and we'll be good to go. Cypress said they'd gladly take care of it and ""we'll send a guy out this week."" It took me almost 3 weeks of constant phone calls to get them to actually come down to fix the issue.
""Yeah I'll leave them a message"" is what the guy who answers the phone there is famous for saying after dozens of calls requesting to have a rep take care of any problem they are responsible for. That line should be printed on their trucks! We also had an issue where our ladder was rusting at the joints after only a week in the water. Again no big deal, it was a defective unit which they said they'd replace, which they did, but not after countless phone calls and me having to drive all the way to Latham to complain in person to actually get them to physically bring the damn ladder to my house!
These guys need a real office assistant, a daily planner, and the decency to support their customers after the sale. So, while you will likely get a nice in-ground pool from Cypress, beware if there are things you discover that aren't right after you give them the final check, good luck with them giving you the kind of service you would expect after paying out $40k+. What a shame. All that great scheduling and craftsmanship in the beginning just to blow it in the end and make me an unsatisfied customer.
With that, I really have a hard time recommending Cypress Pools to friends or family with a clear conscience. It's fortunate for the consumer, that with the power of the internet this review will show up on the first page of Google when search Cypress Pools. Potential customers have a right to know exactly what they're getting into, and businesses can't hide their shortcomings so easily anymore.
