Review content:
Was not impressed at all. Coming from eating indian food in NYC and Boston I was not expecting much from indian food in nashville. But I have to say this is some of the worst indian food I have had especially considering how expensive the food was!! I ordered takeout and I paid $22 for chicken tikka masala, samosa and a nan. This is more expensive then food at some of the nicest indian restaurants in NYC and Boston!! The nan tasted and looked like some store bought pizza dough. The samosa did not have any flavor. The tikka masala is difficult to describe but had a chalky texture to it. I went to another indian restaurant in Nashville and the food there was about 10 times better then the food at Shalimar. And I thought that other restaurant was just average. Don't how so many people have written good reviews for this place. Maybe I just had bad luck. Definitely would not recommend Shalimar especially if you're looking for authentic indian food.
