Businiess name:  Shalimar Restaurant
Review by:  citysearch c.
Review content:
Shalimar is one of my favorite restaurants in Nashville, partly because the food is so good and partly because the people who own it and work there are so incredibly nice. My girlfriend and I walk in and they automatically start fixing our samosas, which, by the way, are fantastic. I've tried the chicken curry and the tandoori chicken, both of which are very good. The best dish, in my opinion, though, is the vegetarian dish Malaie Kofta-I order it practically every time I go. The basmati is great and the cucumber raita is wonderful. Don't forget that Shalimar is, curiously enough, BYOB, so don't forget to get wine before coming-The Wine Shoppe at Green Hills on Abbott Martin is great and very close by. Also, you get up and pay up front when you finish--it took us a while to figure that out!! Pros: Nice staff, Quick service, Good solid Indian foo Cons: BYOB
