Review content:
I have received information that Sitar employees have been going around to different review sites and giving their competitors, especially Shalimar, horrible reviews. I personally know the owner of Shalimar and I can tell you the ingredients come from the best places, such as Indian import stores and fresh produce markets. The price is high because the ingredients aren't processed and the meat comes in fresh every day. It costs a lot for those high quality ingredients and therefore it costs a tiny bit more to eat there (it isn't such a huge deal - just go grab a menu and you'll see). The food is naturally good for you (the chicken soup cured my cold!) and Shalimar has consistently hosted celebrities and even the Mayor of Nashville many times. The owner lives in a mid-sized home and has a family of five - no flashy cars or mansions (proving that the prices aren't unnecessarily high, but are due to the high quality of food and ingredients, not to mention highly trained chefs). Going to Shalimar for lunch or dinner is never a mistake - if you're looking for something different and HEALTHY while having it taste a HECKA GOOD, go to Shalimar!
Pros: great service, ridiculously good food
Cons: area just a tad bit small, but still very romantic and pleasant
