Review content:
I have lived at Bexley Park for 2 years now, and there are pros and cons. PROS: I love the apartment layout, the location, and the community is pretty safe. I have a lab, so the pet policy and fenced dog park were big pluses for me. The ladies at the front office are very nice. CONS: Constant cockroach problem and noise. If neither of these things bother you, you'll love it here. We have requested to have an exterminator spray our apartment three times and have yet to see this problem resolved. The exterminator left a note that they were there the first time, but there is no evidence that they even showed up the other two times. For all I know, they picked up our keys from the office, drove around for an hour, dropped the keys off, and left without even going to our apartment. We currently have an infestation with four insect varieties, with the most offensive being the >2inch cockroaches we found everywhere from our bathtub and kitchen to the bedroom closet. I wish the office would even care enough to follow up with us about this issue to make sure it was resolved. The noise issue is even more frustrating. If you are noisy, you may get complaints called in by your neighbors, but don't worry about repercussions. Worst case scenario, the front office will relocate you, but that's assuming that they do anything about it at all. While the ladies in the office are nice, they are completely ineffective. I have complained about the noise from one neighbor for more than one year. The manager came by once to ""verify the noise"" but they will only do this during office hours. And if you call 15mins before they close, forget it. So you're out of luck if you expect them to do anything about noises that occur after-hours unless you're willing to call the police. After the noise was verified by the manager, she went to talk to my neighbors. When I followed up with the manager about this, I was told they are very nice people and just ""heavy-footed"". More recently, I was told that they were moving furniture around so that's the reason for the noise. I don't care WHY someone is noisy. I just expect something to be done about it, like relocating them to a first-floor apartment where they can be as loud as they want. So if you are a noisy neighbor, you will have no problems, particularly if you restrict your noise to after hours, if you're super-nice to the office staff, and if you come up with a good reason why you deserve to be disruptive to your neighbors consistently. As a noisy neighbor, you may receive voicemails, phone calls, and letters, but my neighbor is proof that you can simply ignore these with no consequences. The only thing close to a solution is that I was just told that my neighbors will move out at the end of their lease...in 7 months. Again, this is the front office doing nothing about resolving the issue and just letting the noisy neighbor call the shots. Thanks for the ""resolution"" -- I'm looking elsewhere.
