Businiess name:  R E Johnson Electrical Co
Review by:  citysearch c.
Review content:
I was replacing a weather-corroded lamppost lantern which the Homeowners Association requires be illuminated from dusk to dawn. The new lantern I installed did not light and in trying to make it work I reset the relevant GFCI outlet which the sparked and blew out. A number of electricians ignored my calls and/or emails; others gave estimates that seemed high. R.E. Johnson apparently does significant commercial work but also seems to make an extra effort to help homeowners in need. BBB rates them A+. My call was promptly returned and an appointment made for the next day. R.E. Johnson charges an hourly rate which is quite reasonable. An electrician accompanied by an apprentice responded. They were professional, cordial and courteous. The electrician seemed very experienced and confident. As he worked, he patiently explained every step to the apprentice. Several weeks later, the Company's invoice came in the mail. It was surprisingly low; the charge for a new GFCI was 66% of the cost at Home Depot. Outstanding!
