Review content:
Last night was Annette's birthday. Per her request we went to Massimo's in Purdy out on Henderson Bay.
Unlike today, it was beautiful and warm. A perfect day for the Northwest.
Annette and I both ordered the special: Steak Medallions served with linguini and spinach.
After already eating too much bread and caprese salad, I wasn't sure I was going to have any room for my main course. But after my first bite I was sold. Some how I found room to completely clean my plate in record time. What absolutely pulled this dish together was the roasted garlic, aged parmigiano-reggiano, and ample butter sauce that blanketed my plate. The steak was done right, just tender enough to enjoy, but not too rare that the juices from the steak compromised the buttery sauce.
(Just a side note, the sauce was so good, I considered cleaning my plate with a piece of bread to make sure I didn't miss a thing, but I did not. My mother would have died if she would have found out.)
My wine, ""REDS laruen wine"", was the perfect pairing to this dish. Light enough to have two glasses, but with just enough body to stand up to the steak.
Our night was completed with a joyful song of ""Happy Birthday"" to Annette, and shared dish of vanilla ice-cream with chocolate drizzle. (No room for any thing else)
Between prompt and polite service, beautiful views, good prices and the amazing meal. I give the night 10 stars.
My only suggestion: Please move this restaurant to Seattle, so I don't have to drive an hour for a good Italian meal.
Thank you again for reading my piece, and Happy Birthday Annette!
Sincerely,
Pearl Found By the Sea
