The employees at this store are ignorant and rude. Today I went in there, and as I was checking out, an Asian man came into the store and nicely requested some help from the blonde woman who was checking out my items. She responded rudely to him, hollering over the heads of several people. He asked if he could check out a kitchen stove that was in the front of the store, outside near the entrance. Both of the women running the registers, the African American woman and the bleached blonde woman, yelled out at the man ""Can't check them stoves!! We ain't got nowhere to plug them in!"" The man just stood there with a puzzled expression on his face... I said to him, ""I wouldn't buy it, if I couldn't check it out first & see if it works."" The woman running the register gave me an evil look and said ""Hey. We don't accept them stoves. People just drops em off, and we don't accept em. And the reason we don't accept em is we can't check em out."" O.K. Fair enough... when I went outside, I looked at the stove, and it had a price of $29.00 written on it. If they don't accept them, how are they selling them? Very curious. And if they don't accept them, why not just put it out by the dumpster or let the man who needs the stove have it? Ridiculous. I said as much to the woman, and she proceeded to badmouth me and mutter about how stupid I was. I guess she doesn't see the disconnect here... you either accept the stove or you don't. You can't say you don't accept it, and then put a price tag on it... many of the prices here are too high. The policies change too... sometimes they will charge half-price for the items in the linen bins in the back of the store on half price days, and sometimes they will charge full price. The bathrooms are absolutely disreputable. There's a giant gap in the door where the little urchins running all over the store can come in and look at you when you're using the bathroom. Employees are exceedingly rude. Every one if them is appallingly rude. Pros: Sometimes interesting ethnic items in bins in back; I found a sari, nice Indian bag, etc. Cons: Rude employees, dark dingy room, high prices, overflowing stinking dumpster, parts of games or toys missing & still priced high, nasty bathroom, and oh yes...rude employees.
