Please DO NOT patronize this business! \r
I took in about 6 pairs of pants, some to get zippers, some hems. I asked if there is a warranty on the job because all cost $71; he (the owner, I think) said no but that I could bring it back if needed. Upon picking up my pants, they sewed on blue zippers onto my gray pants; I did not want to have to return to pick up because the route to the place is not one that I take very often, so I took the items anyway. After wearing one of the pants twice (I wondered why the zipper was so small when I wore the pants), the zipper malfunctioned. I took it back there and he implied that I am a liar and the zipper was old and not sewn on at his store; he remembered me as the one who asked about a warranty, and there was nothing he could do for me as the job on that zipper was not done at Oakleaf. He thought I would come back because I had asked about a warranty! I could not believe the humiliation!; I paid over 70 dollars and he screwed up two-$10 jobs (that I overlooked), and refused to do one $10 job! Does this make any logical sense??? During this dispute, he tried to defend his reasoning by asking why I didn't bring it back sooner, I said it was because I don't come that route often. He kept implying that I was a liar over a zipper! \r
I am a busy professional, wife and new mother who just moved into the neighborhood, and was looking for a private cleaner to patronize, and this is what I get. Is there any chivalry anymore? I got into my car in tears over this situation. One of his customers witnessed this entire conversation. I felt so helpless and this hurt so badly that I decided to take the time to go online and post this. \r
I was trying to explain to him that it was not so much about the money but the principle that you do not treat your customers in this manner (he was having none of it). This experience was a blow to my integrity, and one that I will never forget.
Pros: Does NOT know how to treat customers; bad job, bad service
Cons: Regret ever going there!
