Review content:
When Bing Moy ran China Gourmet it was a treasure; artisanal Cantonese food and great service. Unfortunately the 'B' team has taken over, Bing's #2 son has taken over the show, and the decline in the food and service (but not the prices!) sticks out like a sore thumb. The gauche renovation the owner has just given the place in a desperate attempt to take on a 'hip urban' look can't cover for the poor state of the cuisine. There are two dozen other restaurants in the area doing the same food as China Gourmet does today, including chains like PF Changs (sadly true), and many of them are mush better, and less expensive. Why bother with China Gourmet? I certainly don't anymore.
Pros: I onestly can't think of one.
Cons: High prices; mediocre food; average service; horrid ambiance.
