Review content:
It's true that the service can be excruciatingly slow. Sometimes you'll be lucky with it, sometimes you won't. If you can deal with that, go! The owners are friendly and sweet people. Their menu is small, but everything on it is exceptiona. Their pad kee mao (drunken noodles) and pad thai are the best I have ever tasted, period, and that includes those made by the owner's sister's restaurant, the equally-fabled Lemongrass. If you don't mind possibly having to wait a long time in a lovely setting, this is the best Thai food you'll get in Portland. Try the salad rolls -- the bit of crispy apple in there along with the mint and fried tofu is amazing with their peanut sauce. I recommend the pad kee mao with chicken or the pad thai with shrimp or chicken. The fried rice is delicious, and her curries are wonderful.
Pros: amazing food, atmosphere, amazing food
