Review content:
I use to shop at Foodland last year 2006 because I had gone to Kroger on Big Tyler Rd and was not happy how I was treated. Well in 03/07 I decided to revisit Kroger's at the same location, Big Tyler Rd. Well I found what I needed however when I got to the check out at this point I was tired. The cashier that checked be out was somewhat rude and did not smile or say a word to me. However, I noticed a few isles over this male casher that seem to be having fun checking out customers, he was laughing with them and really seem interested. Well, after I got to my car and put the items I just purchased in the trunk I went back in and got something else and got in his lane. When he spoke to me he sounded like a radio announcer which I though was cool in a way, he smiled and asked if I had found everything I was looking for which was a first for me, then he asked if you could not find what you wanted would you tell me? NOW THAT WAS A FIRST!! I laughed and said yes I would and he said good. This cashier was THE BEST I have ever seen in my whole working career in retail. I felt like asking him how would you like to come work for me. Well anyway, I went back on Friday only to find out he had quit. I did find out from one of the employee's that he was not being treated fair by Kroger. When will Kroger learn how to HELP and KEEP Good employee's such as this guy. All I know is that is name was Ron by his name tag. The cashier today that checked me out did not smile, acted somewhat rude AND I did not get everything they had bagged. They failed to put it in my cart. So I had to go back and get my food. I'll never return back there again. Guess it's back to Foodland or better yet Wal-Mart. kroger's prices are higher but I don't mind if I get great service like I did from that cashier. Well Kroger, you've done it again, your back down on the totum pole once again only this time you lost a customer for LIFE!! Pros: Good Veggie Dept. Good Meats Cons: Very bad check out service, not worth returning.
