DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE No you do not want to, you are right now determining to stay away. Why do I say this? Because I don't want you to crowd me out of my enjoying it. Hee Hee.
OK my bio. 50ish and realizing that getting old is definitely a use it or lose it scenario. You will lose muscle mass, bone, balance etc and gain fat if you do not take active measures to address it. I have lifted weights at home for 4 years but hate running and /or elliptical.
Enter Bally's. I intend to swim for about 1/2 hour 3 times a week to get some cardio and general exercise of muscles. The $9.99 every 2 weeks and the yearly fee in December translates into $6.25 a week or a little over 2 bucks a swim. Even if I went 1 time per week as a brand new couch potato before building to more often the $6.25 per swim would be worth it. I am sure due to schedule and or sickness I will miss a few sessions or a week so the low price makes that easier to bear. If something long term happens and have to quit there is no long term contract.
As far as the reviews that claim a meat market, stinky people etc. Duh! Try to remember your days in the high school gym or dating age scenario. The only difference is that the clientele might weight several tons more at this stage of the game. If you don't want the opposite sex to look at you then wear several sizes larger clothes not the skin tight fashion model garb. Duh. And if you don't like to be around other people then be fast - get in and get out. I know exactly what I am going to do when I get there. In and out. I have little time to smell anyone.
Like I said"" DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE No you do not want to, you are right now determining to stay away. Hee Hee
