Review content:
We took our car to Foothills Mazda after having $4500 worth of ""work"" done to our car at Post Falls Mazda right before they went out of business. Needless to say our car was almost comletely ruined after getting it back from Post Falls Mazda. We took it straight to Foothills where I spoke to Rick Riley the manager who assured me that, ""your problems will be fixed. I understand that you've had a horrible experience & I apologize on behalf of Mazda. But from here on out things are going to get better."" First order of business was to have our car diagnosed. For which they charged us $220. They told us we needed a new engine. Cost would be over $7000. I would have been in to a $6500 car for over 11K. We brought our car home placed an ad & sold it for 2K. Buyers came to pick it up, looked under the hood & we found that our car that we had paid $200 to have diagnosed was never actually put back together. Our motor and various other parts were completely torn apart and pieces left lying under the hood. Then inspected the car closely. There was also a broken coil that we had JUST had replaced at Post Falls, & a cracked headlight. Foothills informed us this was not their responsibility?! Refused to acknowledge breaking the coil or light. We towed the car BACK to Foothills & I told them they were going to put the car back in the same condition that it was when we brought it there. They put the car back together but now it wouldn't start. (it ran before we brought it there) we left it there for a week & were told that their ""top service guy"" had been working on it for days & couldn't fix it. They refused to do anything else besides charge us for storage if we left the car there. We took our now COMPLETELY RUINED car back. They completely ruined our car. I would never bring a vehicle to be serviced or buy a vehicle from Foothills Mazda. I would encourage anyone to go somewhere else for a new vehicle or service. Very dishonest, bad business practices, horrible service dept.
Pros: None.
Cons: Dishonest, damaged vehicle further instead of fixing it, horrible customer service, did not follow through with their promise. Typical shady car dealership.
