Review content:
The way my boyfriend and I were treated when we went to Pet Mania was absolutely unacceptable for any business, big or small.\r \r We stopped by to check it out on a whim, as I am an animal lover and really miss having a pet of my own. While we were there, my boyfriend put his hand up near the rodent cage, and in an instant one of them jumped up and took a chunk out of one of his fingers. I mean A CHUNK!!!! There were no signs stating to take caution around the cages so we assumed it was like any other pet store where we had put our hands near the cages without a problem. \r \r When we realized we couldn't stop the bleeding ourselves and asked for perhaps some soap and a band aid if they had it, we were met with very cool remarks from everyone (save the girl with short hair behind the counter. She was very apologetic, and immediately started making a sign of caution.) \r \r The man that helped us (we got the impression that he was the owner) did not apologize once, but instead kept repeating ""This is a business, it should be assumed you don't pet the animals."" He talked to us in a condescending manner and treated us as if we were second rate citizens.\r \r Really? We should assume? Well, most people assume coffee is hot, but a woman won a multi-million dollar suit against McDonald's because coffee burned her leg! \r \r I could ALMOST understand him being defensive and mean if we took some sort of threatening tone with him or were even remotely negative. We weren't. We simply asked for some help in cleaning up a bite given to my boyfriend by one of his animals. I don't know what we did that offended him so, but one thing is certain; we will never set foot in that store again. Pros: they only sell adopted animals Cons: horrible staff and owner, smells really bad
