Authentic this place is not. That doesnt make it bad. It definitely has a healthy California element. Youre not going to find enchiladas or burritos draped in mounds of cheese and sauce. I think the food is okay. Take note. This is a very busy and popular place. Its not right for an intimate dinner. The drinks are solid and the bar is hopping. Service can vary from good to horrible. While I dont come here often, I havent banned it from possibility. It has certainly never been a horrible experience. I dont know give it a shot.
