Review content:
Empire is not stuffy. It is not a place where the customer cringes when calling to make an appointment because the scheduler is impatient and impertinent. They are always friendly, patient, well informed, and can actually advise the customer. Actually, there is a friendly greeter to welcome you and even opens the door for you. They don't ignore you at the front desk until their private conversations are finished. The individual consultants don't assume they know exactly what you want. They listen and ask questions to be sure they understand your requirements, especially when you have a hard time describing just what look you are trying to achieve. They don't over-mingle with their co-workers while ignoring you in the chair. I was in today for a cut and color with Lacey. She was excellent! She did not just assume I wanted the same cut and color as given previously. She did not assume to use cool-to-warm water for my shampoo. She did not poke me in the ear with too-long fingernails, when giving me a shampoo. She did not get water in my ears. She did not wash off half my makeup. She did not rush me through the shampoo --perhaps I should say scalp-massage for that is what it felt like! She did not assume I knew my way back to her chair. She did not have any issues with re-cutting the back of my hair a little shorter. She did not rush me out of her chair when I needed to play with my new look. I first tried Empire after experiencing all of the above in various area salons. My family was leery. Now, my husband and family of 5 have all been loyal customers. People might shy away from a place where students are cutting/coloring their hair. But it has always been evident to me that they are well-trained, supervised, and their number one goal is to satisfy their client, a refreshing concept more professionals should seek to rediscover. We enthusiastically recommend Empire to all our friends. Finally, I wish to extend my sincere best wishes to Lacey, who will be graduating very soon with a job waiting for her. Keep doing what you were trained to do, especially those amazing shampoo treatments, and you will earn a loyal customer base. Lita Nier
